The City Negotiating Team has reached an agreement with the Newport Beach Professional/Technical Association. The Agreement can be summarized as follows: 1. PERS Pick-up: 3.5'/, maximum 7.0% 2. Salary Increase: 2.4% across-the-board 3. Bereavement leave: Amends the current policy to include the employees' spouses' immediate family: mother, father, brother and sister. In accordance with the City Council's direction, it is recommended that the attached Memorandum of Understanding for Fiscal Year 83/84 be approved effective June 25, 1983. i RESOLUTION NO. 83-66 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH IMPLEMENTING SALARY AND BENEFIT INCREASES FOR EMPLOYEES WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE NEWPORT BEACH PROFESSIONAL/TECHNICAL ASSOCIATION - (NBPTEA) WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach, through its negotiating team, has met and conferred, with representaties of the Newport Beach Professional/Technical Employees Association - (NBPTEA) concerning salaries, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment for fiscal year 1983-84; and WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of implementing, effective June 25, 1983, its proposal to the Newport Beach Professional/Technical Employees Association - (NBPTEA) for increasing compensation paid to its members; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach that the salary changes and benefits for members of the NBPTE Association, for fiscal year 1983-84, shall be as set forth in Appendix "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
