SUBJ: MEET -6 CONFER 84'/'85 NEWPORT 'REACH 'PROFESSIONAL/TECH..ASSOC.

The City Negotiating Team has reached an agreement with the Newport
Beach Professional/Technical Association. The Agreement can be
summarized as follows:
1. Total Compensation Increase: 6.0%
2. The City and NPTEA agreed that on or about Oct 1,
1984, to reopen the contract for the purpose of
meeting and conferring on the issue of providing a
Retiree Health Insurance Plan. The parties agreed
to limit the reopener to this item and to those
items which may be affected should agreement be
reached.
In accordance with the City Council's direction, it is recommended that
the attached Memorandum of Understanding for Fiscal Year 84/85 be
approved effective June 23, 1984.
