SUBJECT: Net 6 Joint Power Authority Agreement
Recommended Action:
Authorize the Mayor to sign the "Agreement for Consolidated Fire Emergency
Communications, Training, Reporting and Information Systems."
Discussion:
Approval of this request will cause the City of Newport Beach to enter
into a Joint Powers Authority with the cities of Huntington Beach,
Westminster, Fountain Valley and the County of Orange. The authority will
provide consolidated fire emergency communications, training and records
management for the fire department. The funding of this program has been
approved in the 1987 -88 budget.
Copies of this Agreement are on file in the City Clerk's office.
