SUBJECT: PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, BAYSIDE SHOPPING CENTER
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Adopt a resolution,accepti-ng additional -public utility.easements
in the Bayside Shopping Center. '
2. Authorize the City Clerk to record the document.
DISCUSSION:
At the time the Bayside Shopping Center -was developed, certain
public utility easements were granted to the City. Final design disclosed
the need for granting additional easements, primarily for fire_hydrants-and
water meters owned by the City. The easements are -shown on the attached
sketch.
The easements are all located in the parking lot of the Bayside
Shopping Center, and are shown as Easements A,B,C,D, and E, all in Parcel
4'of the.map filed in Book II, Page 7 of Parcel Maps of Orange County. .
The parcel map will be on display in the Council Chambers.
The Grantor is The Irvine Company.

PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT
THE IRVINB COMPANY, a West Virginia corporation, hereby
GRANTS to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, a municipal corporation
organized under the laws of the State of California, a non -
.exclusive easement for public utility purposes in, under, over
and along real property situated in the City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Those certain strips of land of various widths In
Block 94 of Irvine's Subdivision as per map filed
in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous Record Maps in
the office of the County Recorder of said Orange
County delineated as Proposed Easements "A", "B",
'rCrt, "D'r, and "E" for public utility purposes within
Parcel 4 of that certain land shown on the reap filed
in Book 11, page 7 of Parcel Maps in the office of
said County Recorder.
SUBJECT ,TO easements and rights of way of record or
apparent.
RESERVING UNTO GRANTOR, its successors and assigns, the
right to use said land for any purpose whatsoever as shall not
interfere with or endanger the use by Grantee of this easement,
including but not limited to the right to construct, relocate,
repair, maintain and use paved parking areas, alleys and pipe-
lines in, on, over, across, under and along said land.
