Resolution Regarding Older Americans Act, Title III B
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution authorizing the Friends of Oasis to
enter into contract with the County of Orange to receive funds from the
Older Americans Act, Title III B.
DISCUSSION: The'rif✓nd o Oasti have worked diligently and have been suc-
cessfu in obtaining an Older Americans Act Title III B grant in the amount
of $29,692.46. The dollar match criteria of the grant will be provided by
Friends of Oasis to make available $34,932.30. Specifically identified,
the scope of the grant project is:

These capital items and facility improvements are valuable additions to the
Oasis site and increasing community involvement program for seniors in Newport
Beach. As partners, the Friends of Oasis and the City have developed and con-
tinue to develop a viable, cooperative approach o community s rvice delivery.
