ORIZING A CONTRACT BE-
TWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
,BEACH AND THE BOARD OF
ADMINISTRATION. CALIFOR-
NIA STATE EMPLOYEES'
RETIREMENT SYSTEM, PRO-
VIDING FOR THE PARTICI-
PATION OF SAID SUBDIVIS-
ION IN SAID STATE EM-
PLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYS-
TEM, MAKING ITS EMPLOY-
EES DIEMBERS OF S A I D
,SYSTEM.
The City Council of the City of
.Newport Beach does ordain as fol•
lows:
Section 1. That a contract is
hereby authorized between the
City Council of the City of New-
port Beach and the Board of Ad-
ministration, California State Em-
ployees; Retirement System, a
copy of said contract being at-
tached hereto marked exhibit "A,"
and, by such reference made a part
hereof as though herein set out in
full.
Section 2. The mayor of the
City of Newport Beach is hereby
authorized, empowered, and direct.
ed to execute said contract for and
on behalf of said Subdivision.
Section 3, This ordinance shall
take effect 31 days after the date
of its adoption, and prior to the
expiration of 5 days from the pass-
age thereof shall be published at
.least once in the Newport Balboa
News - Times, a newspaper of gen-
eral circulation, published and cir-
culated in the Citv of Newport
;Beach, and thenceforth and there-
after the same shall be in full
force and effect.

day of March, 1945.
