ORDINANCE NO. 1177
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH REZONING
PROPERTY AND AMENDING DISTRICT MAP NO. 9
• The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. The following described real property in the
City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, des-
cribed as follows:
PARCEL 1:
Lots 10, 11 and 12,'in Block 219 of Section A. Newport
Beach, per map recorded in Book 4, page 21 of
Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the county
recorder of said county.
PARCEL 2e
That portion of Section 33, in Township 6 South, Range
10 West, of the San Bernardino.Meridian, according to
an official-plat of said land filed in the District
Land Office, August 4, 1890, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 12 in Block
219 of Section A Newport Beach, as per map recorded
in Book 4, page 11 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office
of the county recorder of said county; thence North-
westerly along the Northeasterly line of said Lot 12--
to the Northwest corner of said Lot 12; thence North-
easterly along the Northeasterly prolongation of the
Northwesterly line of said Lot 12 to its intersection
with the line of ordinary high tide of the Pacific
Ocean in Newport Bay, as described in' decree dated
July 30, 1928 a certified copy of which was recorded
August 14, 1928 in Book 191, Page 296 'of Official
Records; thence Southeasterly along said last mentioned
line to its - intersection with the Northerly prolonga-
tion of the Easterly line of said Lot 12; thence
Southerly along said prolonged line to the point of
.beginning,
and as shown on District Map No'. 9 referred to in Section 20.06.030
of the Newport Beach Municipal Code and made a part of Title 20 of
said Code, be, and the same is, hereby rezoned from a C -2 District
to'a C -2 -H District, and said Map No. 9 is hereby amended to show *_h?_
zoning change.
SECTION 2. The Planning Director'of the City of Newport
Beach is'hereby instructed and directed to,change District Map No.
9 so as to show the zoning change described in Section 1 hereof,
and, as said District Map shall have been so amended, the same
shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of Title 20
of the Newport Beach Municipal Code.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once in the
official newspaper of the City,and the same shall be effective 30
days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 22d day of
August 1966, and was adopted on the 12th day of
September y 19662 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Rogers, Parsons, Marshall,
Gruber, Cook, Shelton
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Forgit
