AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
• AMENDING SECTION 15.04.090 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED "AMENDMENT TO
TABLE NO. 3 -A OF THE BUILDING CODE" RELATING
TO INCREASE OF BUILDING PERMIT FEES
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 15.04.090 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
"15.04.090 Amendment To Table No. 3 -A Of The
Building Code. Table No. 3 -A of the Building Code, here-
inbefore adopted in Section 15.04.101, is amended to
read:
"TABLE NO. 3 -A
BUILDING PERMIT FEES
• TOTAL VALUATION FEE
$1.00 to $500.00.. ...........$6.00
$501.00 to $2,000.00............$6.00 for the first $500.00, plus
$1.20 for each additional $100.00
or fraction thereof, to and including
$2,000.00
$2,001.00 to $25,000.00.........$24.00 for the first $2,000.00 plus
$4.00 for each additional $1,000.00
or fraction thereof, to and including
$25,000.00
$25,001.00 to $50,000.00........$116.00 for the first $25,000.00, plus
$3.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or
fraction thereof, to and including
$50,000.00
$50,001.00 to $100,000.00.......$191.00 for the first $50,000.00, plus
$2.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or
fraction thereof, to and including
$100,000.00
TOTAL VALUATION FEE
$100,001.00 to $500,000.00......31.00 for first $100,000.00, plus $1.'
for each additional $1,000.00 or fracti-
thereof
$500,001.00 and up ..............$891.00 for the first $500,000.00, plus
$1.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or
fraction thereof.
• When the valuation of the proposed construction exceeds
$1,000 and a plan is required to be submitted by Subsection
-1-
(c) of Section 301, a plan check fee shall be paid to
the Building Official at the time of submitting plans
and specifications for checking. The plan check fee
shall be 658 of the building permit fee as set forth
_ in Table No. 3 -A.
When plans are incomplete or changed so that to require
additional plan checking, an additional plan check fee
shall be charged at a rate established by the Building
Official."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
10th day of May 1976, and was adopted on the
24th day of May 1976, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: 'Rogers, Dost,al,
Barrett, Kuehn, Mclnnis, Williams
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Ryckoff
