ORDINANCE NO. 1692
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING CHAPTER 5.60 TO THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED "PARAMEDIC SERVICE
USER FEES"
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach
DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 5.60 is added to the Newport
Beach Municipal Code to read as follows:
"CHAPTER 5.60
PARAMEDIC SERVICE USER FEES
Sections:
5.60.010. Intent and Purpose
5.60.020. Fees Established - Resolution
5.60.010. Intent and Purpose. The City of Newport
Beach provides funds for personnel and equipment to
support the operation of paramedic field services
for the benefit of the citizens residing in Newport
Beach. The purpose and intent of this Chapter is to
enable the City Council to establish a reasonable
service charge to assist in defraying a portion of
the costs incurred from maintaining said paramedic
services to be paid by persons who actually utilize
said services.
5.60.020. Fees Established - Resolution. The City
Council shall by resolution establish reasonable fees
and charges to be paid by persons using the City's
paramedic field services."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on
the 28th day of June , 1976, and was adopted on the
912th day of July , 1976, by the following vote,
to wit:
