AMENDING SE�ZION 7.20.020 OF AND ADDING
SECTION 7.20.030 TO THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE PROHIBITING ANIMAL NUISANCES
ANYWHERE IN THE CITY
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 7.20.020 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
"7.20.020 Nuisances Committed by Animals. It shall
be unlawful for the owner or person having charge,
custody or control of any dog or other animal to permit,
either wilfully or through failure to exercise due care
or control, any such dog or other animal to commit any
nuisance and to allow such nuisance to thereafter remain
on any public sidewalk, public beach or park or any
other public property or on any improved private property
other than that of the owner or person who has custody
or control of such dog or other animal."
SECTION 2. Section 7.20.030 is hereby added to the
Newport Beach Municipal Code to read as follows:
117.20.030 Violation an Infraction. It shall be
unlawful for any person to violate any provisions or to
fail to comply with any of the requirements of this
Chapter. Any person violating any of the provisions or
failing to comply with any of the requirements of this
Chapter shall be guilty of an infraction."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
