40 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
REPEALING CHAPTER 5.75 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE WHICH PERTAINS TO THE REGU-
LATION OF ROLLERSKATE RENTAL ESTABLISHMENTS
WHEREAS, on July 23, 1979, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Ordinance No. 1816 which added
Chapter 5.75 to the Newport Beach Municipal Code regulating
rollerskate rental establishments; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, the City Council adopted an
ordinance adding Section 12.57.027 to the Newport Beach Muni-
cipal Code which resolves the same types of problems attempted
to be dealt with by Chapter 5.75 of the Newport Beach Munici-
pal Code; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to eliminate redundancies
in the Code to prevent conflicts of enforcement;:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 5.75 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 12t-h
day of November , 1979, and was adopted on the 26th
day of November
