ORDINANCE NO. 85 -7
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
RESCINDING SECTION 12.66.070 OF THE
NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE REMOVING
VEHICLE CODE ENFORCEMENT FROM PRIVATE
STREETS IN HARBOR VIEW KNOLL
WHEREAS, Harbor View Knoll is currently subject to
enforcement of the Vehicle Code pursuant to Section 12.66.070 of
the Newport Beach Municipal Code, and Vehicle Code Section
21107.7; and
WHEREAS, Community Associations may decide on the
methods to be used for controlling speed in their neighborhoods;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Harbor View Knoll
Community Association and the Traffic Affairs Committee have
requested the City Council remove their neighborhood from Vehicle
Code enforcement and have elected to control traffic through the
utilization of speed bumps.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 12.66.070 of the Newport Beach
Munbicipal Code is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 8th
day of April , 1985, and was adopted on the 22nd day of April ,
