AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADDING SECTION 1.08.055
PERTAINING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF A HEARING
OFFICER.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby
• ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 1.08.055 is added to the Newport Beach
Municipal Code to read as follows:
1.08.055 Hearing Officer. The City Council may designate a
hearing officer to take evidence and submit proposed findings of
fact and law to the City Council whenever the City Council is
authorized, or required, to conduct any hearing or appeal on any
matter including the issuance, denial or revocation of any permit
or license or the determination of a nuisance or fire hazard
pursuant to provisions of the Newport Beach Municipal Code. The
City Council may instruct the hearing officer to submit a
transcript of the proceedings with the proposed findings.
• SECTION 2: This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 14th
day of August , 1995, and adopted on the 28th day of August
1995, by the following vote, to -wit:
