AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
CONTRACT WITH THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM
TO INCREASE THE LEVEL OF THE SURVIVOR BENEFIT PROGRAM.
• The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby ordain as follows:

Section 1: That the Contract between the Board of Administration of
the Public Employees Retirement System and the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach shall be amended to increase the Survivor Benefit from Level One
to Level Three for miscellaneous employees and to Level Four for safety employees.
Section 2: This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 22nd day of April 19961
and adopted on the 13th day of MaY 1996, by the following vote, to -wit:
