A Resolution by the Board of Trustees of the City of
Newport Beach, declaring its intenticn to order an improve-
ment made in said city, describing the improvement, the
land deemed necessagy to be taken therefor, specifying
the exterior boundaries of a district of land to be bene-
fited by the improvement, and to be assessed to pay the
damages, costs and expenses thereof, directing the post-
ing and publication ofnotice, and designating a newspaper .
.for that purpose.
The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach do
resolve and declare as follows:-
Section 1.
Resolved, that the public interest and also the public
convenience require, and it is the intention of the Board of
Trustees of the city of Newport Beach to order an improvement made
in said city, and which improvement is described as:-
Tirst. The widening in part of that certain public
alley which extends from the southerly line of Lot 46 produced
v�resterly across said alley northerly between Lots 46 and 56, 55,
45, 54, 44, 53, 43, 52, 42, .51, 41, 50, 40, 49, 39, 48, 38, 47,
and 37 to the north line of.Lot 37 produced westerly acrosssaid
alley. The widening thereof to consist of increasing the width
of.said alley at the southerly and northerly ends thereof by abol-
ishing the two right angle corners at the south end of the alley,
one formed by the junction of the easterly line of said alley and
of the southerly line of Lot 46, and one by the junction of the
westerly line of said alley and the southerly line of Lot 56. Also
by abolishing the two right angle corners at the northerly end of
said alley, one formed by the junction of the easterly line of

of the westerly line of said alley and the northerly line of Lot 47.
The replacement of each right angle corner with a curved corner,
which curves shall be as follows:-
(a) Commencing at a -point on the easterly line of said alley
19.12 feet northerly of the southwesterly corner of Lot 46, thence
southisasterly on and pursuing a curve with a radius of 20 feet to
a point on the southerly line of Lot 46, 19.12 feet easterly of the
southwesterly corner thereof.
(b) Commencing at a point on the westerly line of said alley
20.92 feet northerly of the southeasterly corner of Lot 56, thence
southwesterly on and pursuing a curve with a radius of 20 feet to a
point on the southerly line of Lot 56,- 20.92 feet westerly of the
southeasterly corner thereof.
(c) Commencing at a point on the easterly 1'ne of said alley
120*.-."92feet south of the northwesterly corner of Lot 37, thence north-
easterly on and pursuing a curve with a radius of 20, feet to a
point on the northerly lire of Lot 37,- 20.92 feet easterly of
the northwesterly corner thereof.
(d) Commencing at a point on thw westerly line of said alley,
19.12 feet southerly of the northeasterly corner of Lot 47,thence
northwesterly on and pursuing a curve with a radius of 20 feet to
a point on the northerly line of Lot 47, 19.12 feet westerly of
the northeasterly corner thereof.
All of the lots above mentioned and referred to being
lots shown upon a map of sub - division of Block "C" Newport Bay
Tract, recorded in Book 5, page 25 of Miscellaneous ?daps, Records
of Orange County, California.
( the use hereinafter in this Resolution of the words
"First alley" means and shall at all times be construed to mean
the alley above described.)

( the use hereinafter in this Resolution of the words
"second alley" means and shall at all times be construed to mean
the alley above described.)
Third. The widening in part of that certain alley
which extends from the north line of Bay Avenue, a public street
in the city of Newport Beach, northerly to the northerly line of
Lot 18 produced easterly across said alley.
The widening thereof to consist of increasing the width
of the northerly end of said alley by abolishtg the right angle
corner formed by the junction of the westerly line of said alley
and the northerly line of Lot 18. The replacement of said right
angle corner with a curved corner, which curve shall be as follows:
ta) Sommencing at a point on the westerly line of said alley
20 feet southerly of the northeasterly corner of Lot 18, thence
northwesterly on and pursuing a curve with a radius of 20 feet to
a point on the northerly line of Lot 18, 20 feet westerly of the
northeast corner thereof.
The said Lot 18 mentioned and referred to being a lot
shown upon a map of Subdivision of Block "C" New -wort Bay Tract,
recorded in Book 5, page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California.

of First alley, Second alley, and Third alley, as above described.)
Section 2.
Resolved, that it will be necessary to take land for the
improvement, and the land deemed necessary to be taken therefor is
located in the city of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, and particularly described as:
For first alley.
Parcel 1.-
All that certain piece or parcel of land being a portion
of Lot 46, of a Map of Subdivision of Block "C" Newport Bay Tract,
as recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 5, page 25, Records of Orang
County, California, and describ,3ed as beginning at the southwesterly
corner of said Lot 46; thence easterly along the satherly line of
said Lot 46 a distance of 19.12 feet to a point; thence northwest-
erly around a circular curve with a radius of 20 feet concave to
the northeast a distance of 30.51 feet to a point in the westerly
line of said Lot 46; thence southerly along the westerly line of
said Lot 46, a distance of 19.12 feet to a point, the place of be-
ginning.
Parcel 2.-
All that certain piece or parcel of land being a portion
of Lot 56 of a Map of Subdivision, Block "C ", Newport Bay Tract,
as recorded in Miscellaneous Mans Book 5, page 25, Records of
Orange County, California, and described as beginning at the south-
easterly corner of said Lot 56; thence northerly along the easterly
line of said Lot 56, a distance of 20.92 feet to a point; thence

Resolved that a district of land will be benefited by
the improvement and the exterior boundaries of the district of
land that will be benefited by the improvement and to be assessed

be headed - NOTICE OF PUBLIC WOFK - in letters of not less than
one inch in length, shall be in legible characters, state the fac
of the passage of this resoluti n, its date, and briefly the im-
provement proposed, and refer to this resolution for further par-
ticulars.

There is no daily newspaper published and circulated in
the city of Newport Beach, the Str::et Superintendent shall there-
fore cause a notice similar ir_ substance to be published by four
successive insertions in NEWPORT NEVIS, a weekly newspaper publish-
ed and circulated in the city of Newport Beach, and which NEWPORT
NEWS is hereby designated for that purpose.
The above and foregoing Resolution was introduced before
the Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach at a regular
meeting thereof field on the let day of Inlay, 1922, read, consider-
ed, designated Resolution of Intention No. 17 8 , and passed by
the vote of the following named members of the said Board of
Trustees:
