Resolution No. 208.
Resolved, that the Board of Trustees of the city of New-
port Beach, as the legislative body thereof, finds and determines
that the public interest and necessity requires the acquisition by
the city of New_-ort Beech, as a public improvement for the puryoses
I public pleasure and recreation, and the uses of commerce, that
certain property described as:
The wharf now erecte! at or ne_r the point where Coast
Boalevard, formerly known as Bay Avenue, unites with Ocean Avenue,
- public streets in the city of Bewport Bench, and extendint thence
into and over the waters of the Pacific Ocean __ distance of approxi-
mately 1120 feet,together with the arpre_.ches to said wharf and the
.ouili.in,s th:yno:1 conitr+,]cted.
Resolved., that the Board of Trustees of the city of New-
Tort :RewV , as the legislative body thereof, finds any:. determines
that the 7ublic interest anA necessity requires the acovisition by
the city of Iiew,port Beech, for the purpose of erecting thereon good
and sufficient approaches to the above mentioned wharf and as p
public place for the parking of automobiles, all that certain land
described as:
Baz nnir a -.int t'.__ _._:traasterly line of Coast
3oulevard ( formerly known as Bay Avenue ) which point is 29.02
feet southeasterly of the center line of Twenty -third Street,measur-
ed alon.; the northeasterly: lire of said Coast Boulav_.rd; thence
South 291 47' 30" East, a. :distance of 415 feet, more or less, to
a point in the westerly line of T.°er.ty -first Street ( formerly known
as County Road and sometimes as Newport Avenue ); thence southerly
along the westerly line of said Twenty -first Street, and along the
westerly lihe of Block 20, as laid out and shown upon a ::sap of the
First Addition to Newport Beach, as r"ccr'ded in Miscellaneous Maps,

westerly boundary line of Ocean Avenue, as said Ocean Avenue is laid
cut andshown upon the aforesaid Lay of First Addition to Yewport
Beach, and along the westerly line of Lot A =20 of the aforesaid
hap of the First Addition to Newport Beech, a distance of 310 feet
more or less to the ordinary high tide line along the northeasterly
shore line of the Pacific Ocean; thence northwesterly along We
aforesaid ordinary high tine line a distance of 10" feet, more or
les3,to its intersction with the southerly prolong.tiou of that
part of the easter! 7 line of the aforesaid Coast Boulevard lying
immediately northerly of Ocean Avenue, which said easterly line of
said Coast Boulevard is curved,and concaved to therr=st, having a
radius of 731.84 feet; thence northerly along the southerly prolon-
gation of that part of the easterly line of the aforesaid Coast Boole,
vard lying immediately northerly of Ocean Avenue, and along the east -
erly line of the aforesaid Coast Boulevard a distance of 904 feet,
more orless, to the place of be; inning.
Resolved, that the described wharf and land are located,
situated and exist wholly inside of the territorial limits of the
city of Newport Beach, Orange County, California, and that it i=_
necessary for said city to acquire a fee simple title thereto.
Resolved, that the public interest and. public necessity
requires that the city of Kew;ort Beach take and condemn the above
described '.wharf and land by and through the right of eminent domain,
and the proper officers of the city of Rewport Beach are hereby
authorized and directed to conmmence, conduct, an4 carry on to con -
clusion and final judgment all necessary actions for that nuryose.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
introduced before the Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 30th day of October,i922,
and passed by the vote of the following two- thirdsand more of all the
members thereof-
