HomeMy WebLinkAbout744 - Stone Revetment Along East Jetty� A p t RESOLUTION NO. 744 • WHEREAS, by Statutes of 1931, Chapter 397, it is provided that not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a simialar character in the locality in which the rork is performed, and not less than the general pre- vailing rate of per diem wages for legal holiday and over -time work shall be paid to all laborers, ti.orkmen and mechanics employed by or on behalf of any city in the State of California, engaged in the construction of public works, exclusive of maintenance work; and M EREAS, it is further provided that the public body awarding any contract for public work on behalf of a city shall ascertain the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract; and WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is about to call for bids for Stone Revetment along the East Jetty at Newport Bay, which notice is to be given pursuant to Statute and Resolution Ho.,? 3 of the City of Newport Beach, adopted on the �3 day of , 1932.
