WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council

of the City of Newport Beach a license agreement by and between
6
the City of Newport Beach in said agreement referred to as the
7
party of the first part, and George 0. Hiner, in said agreement
8
referred to as the party of the second part; and

WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the party of the
10
first part, being the owner of a certain pier located in the
11
City of Newport Beach, and which extends into and over the waters
12
of the Pacific Ocean opposite McFadden Place, grants to the party
13
of the second part the sole and exclusive right and privilege of
14
selling live bait from said pier, upon the conditions and for the
15
consideration in said agreement mentioned; and
16
WHEREAS, it is for the best interests of the City of
17
Newport Beach that said agreement be executed.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor of the
19
City of Newport Beach and the City Clerk of said city, be and
20
they are hw*y authorized and directed to execute said Agreement
21
on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and the Clerk of said
22
city shall obtain the signature of the party of the second part
23
thereon, and the same shall thereupon become a valid and binding
24
agreement as between said parties.
