RESOLUTION AND ORDER APPOINTING THE CITY
ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, TO PROCURE AND PREPARE CERTAIN
INFORMATION AND REPORT PURSUANT TO THE PRO-
VISIONS OF THE "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTI-
GATION, LIMITATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT
OF 19319" APPROVED JUNE 8, 19319 AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, it is contemplated and it is the intention
of the City of Newport Beach proceeding under the Improvement
Act of 1911, as amended, to carry through proceedings for the
construction of a sewage treatment plant and incidental work
in connection therewith, together with the construction of
certain main trunk line sewer, pumping stations and appurten-
ances, effluent sewer line and the grading of a roadway
along said trunk line sewer between the State Highway and the
said treatment plant site, partly within and partly without
the corporate limits of the City of Newport Beach, California;
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the "Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act
of 1931," approved June 8, 1933, as amended, the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach desires certain information and
report with respect to the said proposed improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Engineer
of the City of Newport Beach, be, and is hereby ordered to
furnish to the City Council of said city a written report upon
the proposed improvements herein mentioned, and a resolution
describing in general the location and extent of such proposed
improvement, also generally defining the boundaries of extent
of the district or lands to be specially assessed to pay the
cost thereof or any part of such cost, and the statutes under
which it is proposed to conduct the proceedings, pursuant to

the provisions of Sections 2 and 3 of the said "'Special Assess-
ment Investigation, Limitation and Majority protest Act of 1931,"
approved June 8, 1931, as amended.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution and
order was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
1st day of June, 1936, by the following vote, to -wit:
