RESOLUTION NO. g9
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated
the 7th day of September, 1936, wherein the City of Newport
Beach is referred to as the party of the first part, and Glen
E. Miller, of Los Angeles, California, is referred to as the
party of the second part; and
WHEREAS, it is provided in said agreement that said
party of the second part will assist the city of Newport Beach
in obtaining a grant from the Federal Government in connection
with a work of improvement, to -wit, additions to the municipal
sewer system of the city of Newport Beach, and the construction
of a sewer disposal plant, sewage works, pumping plants and
buildings and equipment necessary or convenient for said project,
together with pipe lines, carrying lines and discharge lines
necessary or incidental to the construction and maintenance of
said sewage works, in the city of Newport Beach, upon the
terms and conditions, and for the compensation in said agreement
set forth; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed for the best interests of the city
of Newport Beach that said agreement be entered into.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed and authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of
the city of Newport Beach. —�
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regular passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
