HomeMy WebLinkAbout1074 - Drilling of a Well for Water SupplyW s 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the 4 City Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain agreement 5 dated the 1V day of march, 1937, by and between B. F. Page, Sr., 611B. F. Page, Jr., and Forrest Page, as parties of the first part, 7 11and the city of Newport Beach, as party of the second part; and 811 WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the party of the 9 11second part hires and retains the parties of the first part for loll the drilling of a well for domestic water supply on the following 11 described real property, to —wit, the Northwest quarter of Section 12 Eight, Township 6 South, Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M., in 1311 accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City 14 Engineer of the city of Newport Beach and on file with the City 15 Clerk of said city, for the doing of said work, a copy of which 16 specifications is attached to said agreement and made a part 17 thereof; and 18 WHEREAS, said agreement specifically sets forth the 19 terms, conditions and price for the doing of said work; and 20 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach 21 deems that it is for the best interests of said City tla t said 22 agreement be executed, and that the work therein specified be 23 done by the parties of the first part, upon the terms and 24 conditions in said agreement set forth. 25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the mayor and 26 City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are 27 hereby directed, instructed and authorized to execute said • 28 agreement in the name of and on behalf of the city of Newport 29 Beach, and that a duly executed copy thereof be delivered by 30 the City Clerk to the parties of the first part in said agreement 31 named. 32 LAW OFFICES OF ROLAND THOMPSON FIRST NATIONAL BANK BUILDING SANTA ANA.
