RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, California, that the public interest and con-
venience require the work hereinafter mentioned to be done, and
therefore the said City Council hereby orders the following
work to be done and improvements to be made in the said City,
to -wit:
The construction of a steel sheet pile bulkhead and
appurtenances and appurtenant work adjacent and contiguous to
the easterly line of Block P of Tract No. 518, all as more
particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 1108,
passed and adopted by the City Council of the said City on the
19th day of April, 19370 and on file in the cfPice of the City
Clerk of said City.
For further particulars reference is hereby made to
said Resolution of Intention No. 1108 and to the plans, profiles
and sections No. 403 on file in the office of the City Engineer
of the said City of Newport Beach, and to the specifications
for the said work adopted by the City Council and on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all of the said
plans, profiles, sections and specifications heretofore approved
. by the City Council of the said City are incorporated herein
and made a part hereof and reference is hereby made thereto
for a more particular description of the said work.
Said City Council has determined and declared that
the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned
was, in the opinion of the said City Council, of more than
local or ordinary public benefit and the said City Council has-
made the expenses of the said work chargeable upon a district.
For the particular description of the said assessment district
reference is hereby made to the said Resolution of Intention
No. 1108.
Said City Council has determined and declared that
serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bearing
interest at the rate of seven per cent (70) per annum, shall
be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improvement
Bond Act of 1915," approved June 11th, 1915, and acts amendatory
thereof and supplementary thereto, the last instalment of
which bonds shall mature nine (9) years from the second day of
July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date.
All of the work herein ordered except the issuance
of bonds shall be done and carried through in pursuance of an
Act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated
"Improvement Act of 1911," approved April 70 1911, and all
acts amendatory thereto.
The City Clerk of the said City is hereby directed
to post conspicuously for five (5) days on or near the Chamber
Door of the said City Council, in the manner and form repaired
by law, a notice, with the specifications, inviting sealed
proposals or bids for doing the work ordered, and the said
City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the "Newport
News," a weekly newspaper published and circulated in the said
City and hereby designated for that purpose by the City Council,
a notice inviting such proposals or bids for doing the said

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, California at a regular adjourned meeting
