RESOLUTION NO. /P/O
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING AND
DIRECTING THAT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A STEEL
SHEET PILE BULKHEAD ADJACENT TO THE EAST-
ERLY LINE OF BLOCK P OF TRACT NO. 518, AS
DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.
1108, BE DONE UNDER THE DIRECTION AND SUP-
ERVISION OF THE CITY ENGINEER.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, did on the � day of _, 1937,
pass and adopt Resolution No. // ,3 q , ordering the work set
forth and described in Resolution of Intention No. 1108,
adopted on the 19th day of April, 1937, by the said City
Council, pursuant to proceedings initiated under the provisions
of the "Improvement Act of 1911," and amendments thereto, for
the construction of a steel sheet pile bulkhead and appurten-
ances adjacent to the easterly line of Block P of Tract No.518
in the said City of Newport Beach, and the said City Council
desiring that the said work and improvement be done under the
direction of the City Engineer and that the materials used
shall comply with the specifications and be to the satisfaction
of the City Engineer instead of the Superintendent of Streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, California, does hereby resolve and direct that
the work of constructing the steel sheet pile bulkhead herein-
• befm a mentioned, be done under the direction of the City
Engineer of the City of Newport Beach, and that the materials
used shall be in compliance with the specifications and be to

the satisfaction of the City Engineer of the said City
instead of the Superintendent of Streets, and the Superin-
tendent of Streets of the said City is hereby directed to
include a provision to that effect in the contract which he
shall hereafter make covering the said proposed improvement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, California aSoyt a regular adjourned meeting
