RESOLUTION NO. 1�,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport
Beach did, on the 17th day of May, 1937, present to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach, an itemized statement
of the expenditures for street construction and maintenance
on Orange Street grade crossing, Marine Avenue between Park
Avenue and Balboa Avenue, and certain alleys on Balboa
Island; abd
WHEREAS, said City Council of the City of Newport
Beach finds that each and all of said expenditures for street
construction and maintenance were actually necessary and said
labor and materials as in said statement shown, actually fur-
nished.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said expendi-
tures aforesaid, for street construction and maintenance afore-
said, be, and the same are hereby approved as submitted by said
City Engineer of the City of Newport Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said City Engineer, be,
and he is hereby directed and authorized to present to the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, State of Calff-
ornia, a request for funds to cover said expenditures, from
the Gasoline Fund Tax of the County of Orange.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor of the City
of Newport Beach be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
to approve in writing, said written expenditures, and that an
itemized statement of said expenditures, in the total sum of
,12,469,79, signed by said Mayor and City Engineer, be submitted
and filed with the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orango,
in connection with this Resolution, and that a certified copy
of this Resolution be filed therewith.
