RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE WRITTEN REPORT OF THE CITY ENGINEER
FOR THE INSTALLATION OF CERTAIN ORNAMENTAL
LIGHT POSTS OR STANDARDS IN AND ADJACENT
TO SOUTH BAY FRONT, NORTH BAY FRONT, EAST
BAY FRONT AND EAST PROMENADE OF GRAND CANAL
ON BALBOA ISLAND, IN THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, HERETOFORE ORDERED PRE-
PARED BY RESOLUTION NO. 1154, ADOPTED ON
THE 7TH DAY OF JUNE, 1937; AND FIXING THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ON SAID ENGINEER'S
WRITTEN REPORT, UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMITATION
AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 193111.
WHEREAS, the Sity Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, did on the 7th day of June, 1937, instruct
the City Engineer of said City to procure and prepare a
written report, pursuant to Sections 2 and 3 of the "Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest
Act of 1931,° as amended, and thereafter the said City Council
has by Resolution No.liI! _ determined in general the nature,

location and extent of the proposed improvement; also general=
ly defined the boundaries or extent of the district or lands
to be specially assessed to pay the cost thereof, or any part
of such cost, and defined the statute under which it is
proposed to conduct the proposed proceedings; and that
thereafter the City Engineer of said City presented to this
City Council the said written report;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the written report presented by the City
Engineer and herein referred to, is hereby approved, and it
is ordered that the same be filed in the office of the City
Clerk for public inspection.

2. That the said City Council hereby fixes Monday,

. seven- thirty (7;30) o'clock P.M. as the day and hour, and the
Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Newport Beach,
. California, as the place of hearing on the Engineer's written
report, and hereby orders such hearing to be held by the City
