RESOLUTION NO. 1179
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, GRANT-
ING AN ADDITIONAL EXTENSION OF TIME TO
THE DRAINAGE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY ON ITIS
CONTRACT DATED JANUARY 14th, 1937.
WHEREAS, the Drainage Construction Company, General
Contractor, has filed a written request for an extension of
time of it's contract dated January 14th, 1937 with the City
of Newport Beach for the construction of Sewers and Sewage
Disposal Plant, for which the completion date was extended
to September 18th, 1937 by a Resolution No. 11680 passed and
adopted by the City Council on the 12th day of July, 1937; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that the
date of completion of the contbact be extended to September
30th, 1937, to allow for extra work ordered in changing the
arrangement of float switches and float wells, as required by
the State Industrial Accident Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That an extension of
twelve (12) days time, commencing September 18th, 1937 is here-
by granted to the Drainage Construction Company, General Con-
tractor, for the completion of all work under it's contract
dated January 14th, 1937.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, California at a regular adjourned meeting there-
of held on the 9th day of August, 1937 by the following vote
to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN Gordon, Claire, Brown
Williamson
NOES: COUNCILMEN None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN Whitson

I, FRANK L. RINEHART.. the duly elected, qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach, California,
do hereby certify that I have compared the attached copy of
Resolution No. 1179 entitled "A Resolution of the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach, California, Granting an Addition-
al Extension of Time to the Drainage Construction Company on
itts Contract dated January 14th, 1937 ", with the original of
said Resolution on file in my office, and that the same is a
true and correct copy of said Resolution, which was regularly
adopted at a meeting of the City Councc 1 duly held on the 9th
