2 WHEREAS, GLENN ROBERT BROWN and CAROL ISABELL BROWN,
3 brother and sister, have this day offered to the CITY OF.NEWPORT
4 BEACH, the sum of $130.00 for Lot 13, Block 540, Corona del Mar,
5 in the city of Newport Beach, as shown on Map recorded in Book
6 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
7 County, California; and
8 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $130.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15 above described.
16 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property
17 be sold to--the said Glenn Robert Brown and Carol Isabell Brown,
1s brother and sister, for the sum of $130.00, free and clear of
19 all encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year
20 1937 -38, and unpaid improvement assessments of record. Also
21 subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations of record.
22 And the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and
23 directed to execute and deliver a deed for said property to
24 the said parties upon receipt of the consideration above set
25 forth.
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $15.00 be
27 paid to Arthur H. Pease, as and for his commission for the
28 negotiating of the sale of said real property to Glenn Robert
29 Brown and Carol Isabell Brown, brother and sisger, as joint
30 tenants, said sum being a fair and reasonable commission to be
31 allowed in said sale, and said broker being a licensed realtor
32 of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting
thereof, held on the 6th day of September, 1937, by the
following vote, to -wit:
