2 WHEREAS, HOWARD FIFIELD LEGG and NELLIE V. LEGG, husband
3 and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
4 the sum of $$250.00 for Lot 35, Block B, Tract 673, in the City
5 of Newport Beach, as shown on Map recorded in Book 20, pages 17
6 and 19 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council ofthe City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $250.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15 labove described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property
17 be sold to the said Howard Fifield Legg and Nellie V. Legg, husbani
18 and wife, for the sum of $250.00, free and clear of all
19 encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1937 -35
20 and unpaid improvement assessments of record. Also subject to
21 conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. And the
22 Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
23 execute and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties
24 upon receipt of the consideration above set forth.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $$25.00 be paid
26 to H. Cardoza Sloan, as and for his commission for the negotiating
27 of the sale of said real property to Howard Fifield Legg and Nell
28 V. Legg, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
29 reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
30 being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 6th day of September, 1937 by the following
vote, to -wit:
