RESOLUTION N0. iIIJILL
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
City Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain contract
dated the 4th day of November, 1937, by and between Brown -Bevis
Equipment Company, a corporation, party of the first part, and
City of Newport Beach, a Municipal corporation, party of the
second part; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides that the party of the
first part was on the 4th day of November, 1937, awarded the
contract by second party for the furnishing of a new Kimball-
Krogh 8 -inch horizontal dredge pump fully equipped with certain
accessories, all in accordance with first party's written proposal
for the furnishing of the same, and in accordance with second
party's specifications, for the consideration, and upon the
terms, covenants and conditions in said contract and in said
proposal and specifications more fully set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City of Newport
Beach that said contract be entered into with Brown -Bevis
Equipment Company,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said contract
in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and
that the City Clerk deliver an executed copy thereof to the
party of the first part therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
I was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach an adjourned regular meeting thereof
