WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated the
6th day of December, 1937, bl.r and between the SOUTHERN CALIFOR; ?IA
EDISON COMPANY, Ltd., a corporation, therein referred to as the
Company, and the CITY OF NE'.7FORT BEACH, a l'unicipal Corporation,
therein referred to as the Consumer; and
`iiHEREAS, said agreement provides that the Comnany will
install and maintain eleven 2500 Lumen Standard Bracket type
lamps equipped with reflector lighting units and located as
follows: 7 on Lafayette Street, 2 on 28th Street, 1 on 30th
Street and 1 on 31st Street, for a period of three years from
and after the 6th day of December, 1937; and
WHEREAS, the consumer agrees to take, receive and use the
energy and service so supplied and furnished and to pay the
Company at the flat rate of ��2.45 per lamp per month in accordance
'with Schedule LS -1, a copy of which is attached to said agreement,
all upon the terms, covenants and conditions in said agreement
specifically set forth.
NO7a, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said agreement
on behalf of the city of Newport Beach, and that a duly executed
copy thereof be delivered to the Company therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing; Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach at a. regular meeting thereof held
on the 6th day of December, 1937, by the following vote, to -wit:
