RESOLUTION NO. JSOA
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
of Newport Beach, a deed wherein the City of Newport Beach
quit claims to the Inglewood Extension Company, a Corporation,
all of its right, title and interest in and to the following
described real property, situate in the City of Newport Beach,
Orange County, California, and more particularly described as
follows, to -wit:
PARCEL 1
Lots 42, 43,6, 57, 58, 59, 60, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66,
81, 82, 83, 8 , 85 and 86 of "Tract No. 948" as shown
on a Map recorded in Book 30, pages 6 and 7 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California.
AND, WHEREAS, the consideration for said Quit Claim Deed
is the transfer by Grant Deed to the City of Newport Beach
of all that certain real property , situate in the City of
Newport Beach, and more particularly described as follows,
to -wit:
PARCEL 2
Lots Three (3), Four (4), Eight (8), Nine (9 , Ten
(10), Eleven (11), Twelve'(12), Thirteen (13 , Four-
teen (14), Seventeen (17), Eighteen (18), Nineteen
(19), Twenty (20), Thirty (30) Thirty -one (31),
Thirty -two ( 2) Thirty -three t33), Thirty -four 34 ,
Thirty -five 1351 Thirty -six (36 , Thirty -seven 1137
Thirty -eight (83, Thirty -nine (30), Forty (40),
Forty -nine (49 , Fifty (50), Fifty -one (�l) Fifty -
four (?4) Fifty -five ( 5), Sixty - seven 671, Sixty -
eight 691, Seventy (70), Seventy -one (71), Seventy -
two (72) Seventy -five (75) Seventy -six (76), Seventy -
seven W), Seventy -eight (i8), Eighty (801 and
Eighty-seven (97) to One Hundred Seven U07% both
inclusive all in "Tract No. 9481' as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 30, pages 6 and 7 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California.
SUBJECT to all unpaid taxes, tax sales and assessments
and restrictions of record.
AND, WHEREAS, said last mentioned property is clear
and free of all encumbrances of every nature, description or

kind except conditions, restrictions and reservations of record,
and except delinquent taxes and assessments thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that the consideration for the transfer of all their
right, title and interest in and to said first mentioned pro-
perty to the said Inglewood Extension Company, a corporation,
is in all respects just, fair and adequate and deems it for the
best interests of said City that they execute said Quit Claim
Deed; and
WHEREAS, all the title that the City has at this time
in said first mentioned property is a tax deed obtained pur-
suant to section 3897d of the Political Code of the State of
California, and amendments thereto; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beadh
further believes that when last mentioned property shall have
been placed in its name, that they will be able to dispose of
it at a profit, and in an amount in excess of their interests
in and to said first mentioned property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach, deems that the consideration
for said lots, herein referred to as parcel 1, is the fair
market value thereof at this time, and that it is for the best
interests of the City of Newport Beach that said City acquire
said property for the consideration mentioned; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Newport Beach
will materially benefit from the acquisition of said property
last above mentioned as said property has a market value at
this time.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk
of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby authorized

kind except conditions, restrictions and reservations of record,

and instructed to sign said escrow instructions in the name of
and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk
is instructed to deliver the same into escrow with the Orange
County Title Company of Santa Ana, California, as escrow holder.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a1 regular meeting
thereof held on the day of February, 1939, by the follow-
ing vote, to —wit:
