WHEREAS, FLOYD J. GILBERT and ALTA M. GILBERT, husband
3 and wife, have this day offered to the DITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the
4 sum of $275.00 for Lot 18, Tract 948, in the City of Newport Beach
5
as shown on Map recorded in Book 30, page 7 of Miscellandous Maps,
6
records of Orange County, California; and
7
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate pti6e as
8
and for the purchase price of said lot; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
11
property be sold for the said sum of $275.00; and
12
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate

and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
14
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property
16
be sold to the said Floyd J. Gilbert and Alta M. Gilbert, husband
17
and wife, for the sum of $275.00, free and clear of all encumbranc
s,
18
subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1939 -40 and unpaid
19
improvement assessments of record. Also subject to conditions,
20
restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City
21
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver
22
a deed for said property to the said parties upon receipt of
23
the consideration above set forth,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $27.50 be paid
25
to L. W. Briggs, as and for his commission for the negotiating of
26
the sale of said real property to Floyd J. Gilbert and Alta M.
27
Gilbert, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and

reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
29

being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.
