WHEREAS, RALPH E. COX and MINNIE E. COX, husband and

I wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the
5
sum of $375.00 for Lot 20, Tract 949, in the City of Newport
6
Beach, as shown on flap recorded in Book 30, page 7 of Miscellan—
7
eous Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
8
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9
as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10
WHEREAS) the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12
property be sold for the said sum of $375.00; and
13
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
i
15
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property
17
be sold to the said RALPH E. COX and MINNIE E. COX, husband and wife,
18
for the sum of $375.00, free and clear of all encumbrances,
19
subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1939 -40, and unpaid
20
improvement assessments of record. Also subject to conditions,
21
restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the
22
City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and
23
deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon receipt
i
of the cconsideration eration above set,forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $37;,50 be
25

paid to Anna Hawkins Lane, as and for her commission for the 1
negotiating of the sale of said real property to Ralph E. Cox
I

and Minnie E. Cox, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being
• 28
a fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale,
29
and said broker being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport
30

Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned
regular meeting thereof held on the a5th day of February, 1939,
by the following vote, to-wit:
