RESOLUTION NO. 1539

WHEREAS, CURTIS N. McFADDEN and JEANNE MARIE 96FBDDEN,

husband and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT

BEACH, the sum of $750.00 for Lots 31, 32 and 33, Tract 945, in
5
the city of Newport Beach, as shown on Map recorded in Book 30,
6
page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California
7
and
8
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9
as and for the purchase price of said lots; and
10
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12
property be sold for the said sum of $750.00; and
13
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property
17
be sold to the said Curtis N. McFadden and Jeanne Marie McFadden,
18 husband and wife, for the sum of $750.00, free and clear of all
19 encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1939 -40.
20 and unpaid improvement assessments of record. Also subject to
21 conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor
22 and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
23 and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon
24 , receipt of the consideration above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That the
sum of $75.00 be paid

to L. W. Briggs, as and for his commission
for the negotiating of

the sale of said real property to
Curtis N.
McFadden and Jeanne

Marie McFadden, his wife, as joint
tenants,

said sum being a

fair and reasonable commission to
be allowed
in said sale, and
30 11 said broker being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Be

1 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
2 Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
3 City Council of the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular
4 meeting thereof held on the 25th day of February, 1939 by the
5 following vote, to -wit:
