3 I WHEREAS, ARTHUR U. BISHOP and LAURA MARIE BISHOP,
• 4 husband and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT
5 BEACH, the sum of $1050.00 for Lots 34, 35. 90 and 91, Tract
6 948, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown on Map recorded in
7 Book 30, page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
8 California} and
9 WHEREAS, the said priee is a fair and adequate price
10 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
13 property be sold for the said sum of $1050.00; and
14 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
15 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
16 above described.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
18 sold to the said Arthur U. Bishop and Laura Marie Bishop, husband
19 and wife, for the sum of $1050.00, free and clear of all encumb-
20 rances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 193940 and
21 unpaid improvement assessments of record. Also subject to
22 conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor
23 II and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
24
and deliver a
deed for said property to the said parties upon
25
receipt of the
consideration above set forth.

BE IT
FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $105.00 be
27
paid to L. W.
Briggs, as and for his commission for the negotiat
•
28
of the sale of
said real property to Arthur U. Bishop and Laura
29
Marie Bishop,
his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair
30
and reasonable
commission to be allowed in said sale, and said
31
broker being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular
meeting thereof held on the 25th day of February, 1939 by the
