WHEREAS, a certain Corporation Grant Deed dated the
day of , 19
, from
the City
of Newport
Beach, a municipal corporation of
the sixth
class of
the State
of California, granting to Laura
M. Newell,
a widow,
all that
certain real property situated in the City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, and more particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
Lot 2 in Block 442 of Corona De Mar, as per map
recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscel-
laneous EapS in the office of the County Recorder
of said County.
Reserving unto the public an easement for alley
purposes over the Northeasterly 14 feet of said
lot.
Subject to reservations and restrictions of record.
was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California; and
i'.HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
property be granted to said Grantee upon the terms and condi-
tions therein set forth, and other valuable considerations,
including the widening of Highway No, 101 through that por-
tion of the City of Newport Beach known as Corona Del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are
hereby* directed, authorized and instructed to execute said
Grant Deed in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport
Beach, and that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy
thereof to the Grantee therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Reso-
lution was duly and regularly passed and adouted by the City
