• 3 WHEREAS, SAMUEL G. WARREN, a married man, has this
4 day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $200.00
5 for Lots 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12, Block 537, Corona del Mar in the
6 city of Newport Beach, as shown on Map recorded in Book 3,
7 pages 41/42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
8 California; and
9 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
10 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
13 property be sold for the said sum of $200.00; and
14 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
15 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
16 above described.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property
18 be sold to SAMUEL G. WARREN, a married man, for the sum of
19 $200.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the
20 taxes for the fiscal year 1939-40 and unpaid improvement
21 assessments of record. Also subject to conditions, restrictions
22 and reservations of record. The,Mayor and the City Clerk are
23 hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a deed
24 for said property to the said party upon receipt of the
25 consideration above set forth.
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $20.00 be
27 paid to Gerald A. Ritchie, as and for his commission for the
28 negotiating of the sale of said real property to Samuel G. WarrE
29 as his separate property, said sum being a fair and reasonable
30 commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker being
31 a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach at a special meeting
thereof held on the 10th day of April, 1939 by the following
vote, to -wit:
