WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain Conditional
Sales Contract dated May let, 1939, by and between D. K. Blue as
Seller, and the City of Newport Beach as Purchaser; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides that the Seller
sells to the Purchaser one New Chevrolet, 6 cylinder, Standard
Sport Sedan, Model JB, for the sum of $949.04, payable as follows:
$449.04 down payment represented by Chevrolet automobile trade -in,
and the balance as follows: June 6th, 1939, $299.00, July 4th,
1939, $201.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said City that
said contract be entered into with the said D. K. Blue, and that
the purchase price therein set forth and the terms of said contract
are satisfactory.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said contract in
the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof
held on the let day of May, 1939, by the following vote,to -wit:
