RESOLUTION NO. *—
THEREAS there has this day been presented to the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach a Conditional Sales
Contract, wherein the City agrees to purchase certain 1938 Ford
Cab -Over- Engine Truck No. 18- 4589832, 134 in. wheelbase, duel
rear wheels, overload springs and stake body, equipped with 32
X 6 8 ply tires, together with 1 Power take off and winch in-
stalled, and also one Hydraulic Hoist installed, for the sum of
}1917.60, payable in the manner in said agreement set forth, and
in monthly installments without interest; and
T7HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach deems that it is for the best interests and benefit of
said City that said truck be purchased upon the terms and con-
ditions in said contract specified; and
17HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach further deems that the purchase price of said truck is
the reasonable market value thereof, and that said truck could
not be purchased for a less price than the one specified in said
contract, and that the payments therein provided for will be
met easier by the month than by purchasing the same outright.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor of
said City and the City Clerk of said City be authorized and
directed to execute said contract on behalf of the City of New-
port Beach, in duplicate, one copy thereof to be delivered to
the party of the first part and the other copy retained by said
City after the same shall have been duly executed by said first
party.
