17HiREAS, a certain Corporation Grant Deed dated the
day of , 1939, from the CITY OF NE'7PORT
BEACH, a municipal corporation of the sixth class of the State
of California, granting to BERNARD J. GALLAGHER and MARGARET
GALLAGHER, husband and wife, all that certain real property sit-
uated in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Lot 3, in Block "L" of Tract No. 323, as per
map recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41 of
Miscellaneous Haps, in the office of the
County Recorder of said County.
Subject to reservations, restrictions and
easements of record.
- -was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California; and
tdfEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
property be granted to said Grantee upon the terms and conditions
therein set forth, and other valuable considerations, including
the widening of Highway No. 101 through that portion of the City
of Newport Beach known as Corona Del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED- That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said Grant Deed
in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and
that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the
Grantee therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
