• 3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented a oertain
4 agreement between the City of Newport Beaoh, a Munioipal Corpora -
5 tion of the sixth olass, in said agreement referred to as the
6 Party of the First Part, and C. W. Hyde, Jr., in said agreement
7 referred to as the Party of the Second Part; and
8 WHEREAS, it is the opinion and judgment of the City
9 Oounoil of the City of Newport Beaoh that the work provided for
10 in said oontraot should be done, and that it is for the best
11 interest and benefit of the City that said work of plaoing oer-
12 tain delinquent properties back on the tax roll is for the best
13 interests and benefit of all of the City of Newport Beaoh; and
14 WHEREAS, the said Party of the Seoond Part in said
15 agreement named is familiar with the work in said oontraot men -
16 tinned, and has been following the 000upation of plaoing tax
17 delinquent properties baok on the tax rolls for several years,
18 and, in the opinion of the City Counoil, is oompetent to do the
19 work oontemplated by said oontraot; and
20 WHEREAS, the oonsideration mentioned for the doing
21 of said work by Party of the Seoond Part for the Party of the
22 First Part is, in the opinion of the City Counoil, fair and just,
23 and that oompetent help in the doing of said work oould not be
24 obtained for a lesser prioe.
25 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said oontraot
26 as presented by the City Attorney of the City of Newport Beaoh
27 be and the same is hereby approved as written, and the Mayor
28 and City Clerk are authorized, direoted, and instruoted to sign
29 said oontraot on behalf of the City of Newport Beaoh.
