WHEREAS, a certain Grant Deed dated the 6th day of

November, 1939, from H. CARDOZA SLOAN and LILLIAN C. SLOAN, his

wife, to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, a Municipal Corporation,
5
granting to the said City that certain real property situated in
6
the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
7
and more particularly described as follows, to -wit:

All that portion of Lot 29, Block 240, as shown upon
9
a map of Corona Del Mar, recorded in Book 3, pages
41 and 42, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
10
County, California, described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a point in the northwesterly line
11
of said Lot 29, which point of beginning is twenty
(20) feet natheasterly of the southwesterly corner
12
of said Lot 29; running thence northeasterly to the
most northerly corner of said Lot 29, a distance of
13
ten (10) feet; thence southeasterly along the north-
easterly line of said Lot 29, a distance of ten (10)
14
feet; thence Westerly in a direct line to the point
of beginning.

was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach

deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said

deed be accepted for the consideration therein set forth, to -wit:

The sum of TEN AND NO /100 ($10.00) DOLLARS.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said grant deed

be accepted by the C16y of Newport Beach, and that the City
23
Clerk be instructed to record the same forthwith with the County
24
Recorder of Orange County, California.

was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
