RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS,by virtue of Traffic Ordinance No. 3 {off
and amendments thereto, of the City of Newport Beach, the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach is authorized to prohibit
and limit parking of automobiles on certain streets in said city;
and
WHEREAS, under said Ordinance No. 3 4.6 the City
Council of said City of Newport Beach is authorized to limit
parking on said streets by Resolution duly passed by said City
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That parking of
automobiles and other vehicles is hereby limited to one (1) hour
between the hours of eight o'clock A. M. and six o'clock P. M.
of each day, on Marine Avenue, between that certain street known
as Park Avenue, and the bridge over North Bay Channel, all on
Balboa Island, in the City of Newport Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Chief of Police of
the city of Newport Beach be, and he is hereby authorized,
directed and instructed to paint the curbs on said Marine Avenue
between Park Avenue and the bridge over North Bay Channel, a solid
color, and is further authorized, directed and
instructed to post said street by appropriate signs, showing that
parking on said street is limited to the period of one (1) hour
between the hours of eight o'clock A. M. and six o'clock P. M.
on each day hereafter.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly passed by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held on the 13th
day of May, 1940, by the following vote, to -wiA:
