` 3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
4 City Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain Agreement
5 dated April let, 1940, between GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY therein
6 referred to as Manufacturer, and CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH therein
7 referred to as Purchaser; and
8 WHEREAS, said Agreement provides that the Purchaser
9 will purchase within a one year period approximately $260.00
10 worth of General Electric Mazda lamps and General Electric Type D
11 lamps, at manufacturer's current price schedules, at the followinj
discounts from the list prices given in the schedules: Standard
12
13 package quantity, 24%. Broken Package quantity on Mazda tamps
only 19 %, said lamps to be paid for not later than thirty (30)
14
days from date of invoice, and that if payment is made within
15
ten days from date of same, two percent may be deducted from the
16
net amount thereof; and
17
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
18
deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
19
agreement be entered into, upon the terms and conditions in said
20
agreement set forth.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
22
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
23
directed, instructed and authorized to execute said agreement
24

26 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
27 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
28 the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
