HomeMy WebLinkAbout1847 - 19th Street Comfort Station & Ticket Officef J la 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 s' 4 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City 5 Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain agreement between 6 GORDON B. FINDLAY, as party of the first part, and the CITY OF 7 NEWPORT BEACH, as party of the second part; and 8 WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the party of the 9 first part was on the 17th day of June, 1940, awarded the con - 10 tract by second party for the furnishing of labor and materials 11 in the building of a comfort station and ticket office at 19th 12 Street in the city of Newport $each, Orange County, California, 13 all in accordance with first party's written proposal for the 14 doing of said work and the furnishing of said materials, which 15 said written proposal together with the. plans and specifications 16 for the doing of said work is attached to said agreement and made 17 a part thereof; and 18 WHEREAS, safd agreement specifically specifies the 19 consideration, terms and conditions under which said work shall 20 be done and improvement made; and 21 WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach 22 believes that it is for the best interests ofsaid city that 23 said contract be entered into, for the doing of said work and 24 improvement. 25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City 26 Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed, instructed and authorized to execute said agreement 27 in the name of and on behalf of the city of Newport Beach. 28 W I hereby certify that the above and foregoing 30 Resolution was duly passed and adopted at an adjourned regular 31 meeting of the City Council of the city of Newport Beach held 32 LAW OFFICES OF ROLAND THOMPSON 310 SPURGEON BUILDING SANTA ANA.
