RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain Conditional Sales
Contract dated the 17th day of June, 1940, by and between D. K.
Blue of Newport Beach, California, therein referred to as Seller,
and the city of Newport Beach, a Muhicipal corporation, therein
referred to as Purchaser; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides that the Seller sells to the
Purchaser a 1940 Chevrolet one -half ton pick -up truck for the
sum of $714.82, payable in four monthly installments as in said
contract specifically set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City of Newport
Beach that said automobile be purchased from the Seller upon the
terms and conditions in said Conditional Sales Contract set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said contract in
the name of and on behalf of the city of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly andregularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the city of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
held on the 17th day of June, 1940, by the following vote, to -wit:
