RESOLUTION NO. 11
WHEREAS, the City Engineer presented an application to
the Department of Public Works of the State of California for
the expenditure of $ 2,216.63 from the "Special Gas Tax Street
Improvement Fund" for the maintenance of the following des-
cribed streets: Central Avenue, Ocean Boulevard, Coast Boule-
vard, Marine Avenue, Park Avenue and Agate Avenue, for the
fiscal year ending June 30th, 1944; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach will receive approxi-
mately $2,216.63 from the Department of Public Works of the
State of California as its share of the 1/4 cent Gas Tax alloca-
tion for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1941;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
determines that the Gas Tax funds received by the City for the
fiscal year ending June 30th, 1941, shall be expended in accord-
ance with the rules and regulations of the Department of Public
Works of the State of California, on the following described
streets:
CENTRAL AVENUE from the Santa Ana River bridge to
McFadden Place, the north and south roadways from McFadden
Place to "B" Street, and from "B" Street to Ocean Blvd. at the
West Jetty;
OCEAN BOULEVARD from Central Avenue at "G" Street to
Central Avenue at the West Jetty;
COAST BOULEVARD from the north city limits near 46th
Street to Central Avenue at McFadden Place;
MARINE AVENUE from the North Bay Front to Park Avenue;
PARK AVENUE from Marine Avenue to Agate Avenue;
AGATE AVENUE from Park Avenue to the South Bay Front;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer of the
City of Newport Beach be and is hereby authorized and instruct-

State of California for approval of the maintenance of the
hereinbefore described streets.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting held this 1st
day of July, 1940, by the following vote, to -wit:
