WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the

City Council of the city of Newport Beach, a certain Cancellatiw
5
of Agreement of lease, wherein and whereby that certain lease
6
between the City of Newport Beach as party of the first part,
7
and Newport Harbor Post No. 291 of the American Legion, as
8
party of the second part, and dated April 20th, 1936, is can -
9
celled and annulled and declared of no further force or effect
10
for any purpose whatever; and
11
WHEREAS, the consideration for the cancellation of said
12
lease above referred to is the execution of a new lease between
13
the same parties, and covering certain real property belonging
city of Newport Beach
b the city of Newport Beach in said lease described, which

thereof held on the
said new lease is dated September 2nd, 1940; and

by the following

WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach

deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said

AYES, COUNCILMEN:
old lease be cancelled and said new lease be entered into, upon

the terms and conditions therein set forth.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and

City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby

directed, instructed and authorized to sign said Cancellation
22
ABSENT, COUNCILM
of Lease dated April 20th, 1936, in the name of and on behalf

of the City of Newport Beach.
