1 WHEREAS, 0. A. JOHNSON and ANNA E. JOHNSON, husband and
2 wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum
3 of $300.00 for Lot 19, Block 219, Section A, in the city of
4 (Newport Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4, page 21 of
5 Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
6 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as
7 and for the purchase price of said lot; and
8 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
9 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
10 property be sold for the said sum of $300.00; and
11 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
12 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
13 above described.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
15 sold to the said 0. A. Johnaon and Anna E. Johnson, husband and
16 wife, for the sum of $300.00, free and clear of all encumbrances,
17 subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1940 -41 and unpaid impro-
18 vement assessments of record. Also subject to conditions, restric
19 tions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City Clerk ar
20 hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a deed for
21 said property to the said parties upon receipt of the consideratia
22 above set forth.
23 I hereby certify that the-above and foregoing Resolution
24 was duly and regularly passed and adopted.by the City Council of
25 the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
26 7th day of October, 1940 by the following vote, to -wit:
