2 A certain Grant Deed dated the 7th day of October, 1940,
3 from HENRY M. LANE and ANNA HAWKINS LANE, husband and wife, to the
4 City of Newport Beach, a Municipal corporation, and covering all
5 that certain real property situated in the City of Newport Beach,
6 County of Orange, State of California, and more particularly
7 described as follows, to —wit:
8 The right of way for alley purposes over, upon and
across the SEly 7* feet of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and
9 7, and the Northwesterly 12* feet of Lots 8, 9, 10,
11, 12, 13 and 14, all in Block 236, of "Canal Section,
10 Newport Beach ", as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4,
page 98 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
11 California,
12 was presented to the City Council of the city of Newport Beach,
13 California.
14 WHEREUPON, Councilman made a
15 motion, duly seconeled by Councilman OM433 and
16 carried, that said Grant Deed be accepted, and that the City Clerk
17 be instructed forthwith to record the same with the County Recorder
18 of Orange County, Califb rnia.
19 Said motion was carried by the following vote, to —wit:
